Remember yourself as light
A meditation on light, our reality. This technique helps us to get in touch with our inner flame.
First Stage - 10 minutes: Sit, eyes closed, hands on your heart. In your heart a flame is burning, the flame can be any colour, any size. Feel the warmth, the light. A flame is burning in your heart.
Second Stage - 10 minutes: With total presence, move in a slow walk, eyes lowered. Your body is just an aura of light around the flame. Let the body make any slow movements it wants while walking.
Third Stage - 20 minutes: Dance like a flame. Flickering, warm, consuming everything. Staying aware that in your heart a flame is burning and your body is made of light.
Fourth Stage - 15 minutes: Lie down in silence, aware of the inner flame.
Be aware who is sensing
This meditation is about awareness on your senses. You praxis the ability to watch the inner one, who is hidden behind the senses.
First Stage - 15 minutes: Sitting comfortably, look at someone or any object, any object/the wall, a flower, a tree. Remember that you are seeing through your eyes. Your eyes are just windows. You are the one inside looking through the eyes. Focus attention on the one behind the eyes.
Second Stage - 15 minutes: Close your eyes. Listen to the music, remembering that your ears are just receivers. Sounds travels in circles towards each of us. You are always in the center of sound. You hear sound from your silent center.
Third Stage - 15 minutes: Remaining with eyes closed, touch any surface or object. When touching, just touch through the hand and remember the inner one who is hidden behind , sensing the touch. Be sensentive, feel different textures and remember all your senses are just doors, receiving stations, instruments, receptors. You are hidden behind.
Fourth Stage - 15 minutes: Eyes closed. Lie down, silent and still.
Expand in all directions
A meditation to dissolve the boundaries that we have created around ourselves and expand into the limitless.
First Stage - 10 minutes: Sit with eyes closed, feeling yourself dissolving the walls and boundaries you have created around you, feeling that life is insecure and unknown, always changing and unpredictable, that death comes to us all, knowing that 'insecurity is freedom'. Take these feelings inside.
Second Stage - 10 minutes: Stand and with eyes closed allow the feeling of expansion to come, moving the arms softly as you feel to. Beginning in the heart and pervading all directions, as if standing under the open sky, in the wind and the rain, part of the vastness of existence. Feel the aliveness that comes when the boundaries are gone. You begin in the heart and end nowhere.
Third Stage - 20 minutes: Dancing feeling yourself pervading everywhere. That there is no point at which you end, You simply begin in the heart and end nowhere. You have a center and no periphery, The periphery goes on expanding - on and on. The whole space is surrounded by it, stars move in it, earths are born and dissolve, planets arise and set. The whole cosmos becomes your periphery.
Fourth Stage - 20 minutes: Sit or lie and still moving in the inner vastness.
Intone a sound
A chanting meditation in four stages to enter from sound to soundlessness.
First Stage - 10 minutes: Sitting comfortable. Start to chant AUM so that you can hear yourself clearly.
Second Stage - 10 minutes: Still chanting, but less loudly, feel the sound vibrating through your whole body.
Third Stage - 10 minutes: Intoning the sound with the lips closed, so that only you can hear yourself, feel the sweetness of the sound.
Fourth Stage - 10 minutes: Slowly, slowly, more subtly, more subtly until the sound fades into soundlessness. Bathe in the inner silence until the sound of the gong.
Fifth Stage - 15 minutes: Eyes closed. Lie down, silent and still.
Absorb the senses in your heart
From the head to the heart, from thinking to feeling. Our senses become extensions of the heart, making us more sensitive and preparing us for the jump to our being.
First Stage - 15 minute: Sitting with closed eyes, start imagining that you are slowly unscrewing your head. Use the imagination. Energy follows imagination. Then focus on your heart center. Listen to the music from your heart center - feel the music. Absorb the music in your heart. You can gently sway side to side.
Second Stage - 15 minutes: Touch! Close your eyes, touch anything. Feel a comunication from your heart to the earth. Feel the warmth in your hands. This warmth comes from the heart. It can never come from the head, cause the head is always cold, calculative. The heart is warm. The heart always feels how to give more.
Third Stage - 15 minutes: Dancing softly. Allow the energy to move to the navel.
Fourth Stage - 15 minutes: Sit or lie in silence - until the sound of the gong.
Stop-dance
The stop technique to have a glimpse of the inner space, and dancing to lose ourselves in the dance.
Dance playfully, be totally lost in dancing and when the music stops, you also stop. For few minutes be still, like a statue aware of whatever is happening inside/outside. Then the music starts again and you dance again... Dancing and stopping several times and when the music fades out, lie down; relaxing until the sound of the gong.
Wave-ing
A wave is born and die but the ocean remains. This meditation can change the way we look at life and realize that we are all part of a cosmic ocean.
First Stage - 15 minutes: Breathe out, then hold your breath for 3 or 4 seconds. Breathe in, hold for 3 or 4 seconds. Find your own relaxed rhythm. While breathing, feel that the ocean is breathing in you. The ocean comes to you, goes out, comes in, goes out. With every breath feel a wave rising, with every exhalation a wave dying.
Second Stage - 15 minutes: Eye gazing with partner. Soft gaze in each other eyes seeing beyond the personality into the inner ocean. We are all part of the same cosmic ocean.
Third Stage - 7.5 minutes: Dance like a wave in the ocean - Rising and disappearing. Being born and dying.
Fourth Stage - 7.5 minutes: Dance and become the ocean.
Fifth Stage - 15 minutes: Lie or sit down in silence - Until the sound of the gong.
Focus on fire
An ancient technique based on burning down to ashes with the awareness of what does not burn and the celebration of it.
First Stage - 15 minutes: Sitting. Exhale and close the eyes. Allow the body to inhale and open the eyes. Create your own rhythm so that you can go into the next stage welcoming, receptive.
Second Stage - 15 minutes: With a feeling of deep relaxation, lie down eyes closed. Imagine yourself as dead, the body is just a corpse. Bring your attention to the toes and feel that the fire is rising from there upwards. Feel that the toes are burned and turned into ashes. Then the legs and slowly upwards burning and turning into ashes. Go on upwards and lastly the head disappears. Everything has become ashes.
Third Stage - 10 minutes: The watcher - awareness of what has not burnt. Thoughts may come, just watch them come and go. They are no longer relevant - you are no more.
Fourth Stage - 20 minutes: Slowly start to feel the body - Dance, celebrate the joy of being alive.
Chakra dance
From the sex chakra to the crown chakra, passing through the hara, the heart and the third eye. A journey into dance remembering that we are the witness to all these different energies. After each dance take a few moments with closed eyes to feel each chakra and remember that you are the witness of all these different energies.
First Stage - 10 minutes: Sex Chakra - Dance this chakra playfully, flirting with others enjoy being seductive, loose and natural. See how joyous this energy can be when you are playfull with it.
Second Stage - 10 minutes: Hara - Dance the hara on your own. Feel how grounding this energy is. When you are in your hara you don’t need the other. You are centered in yourself. Rooted in the earth.
Third Stage - 10 minutes: Heart Chakra - Dance the heart, sharing this energy with others and see that the more you share the more it grows. Share it with people, with the trees, with the stars, share...
Fourth Stage - 10 minutes: Third eye - Dance on your own. When you are in this center you can see your inner splendour, your inner light. You can simply see inside. Express your inner beauty in dance.
Fifth Stage - 10 minutes: Crown chakra - When you are in this center you are one with everything and everyone. You realize your buddha-nature and in seeing it within yourself you can see it in others. When you meet each other simply namaste’ the buddha that lives within everyone. You are no more. Only existence is.
