Looking for your mindfulness group in London?

Members of our London Meditation Local Community, living or working in London, may be wishing to begin or continue deepening their mindfulness practice in a supportive, safe space and with one of our trusted London Meditation Community Providers.

You might want to join a group for an 8-week or 4-week mindfulness programme, one-day retreat, or regular sitting group.

Weekly Sitting Group

If you have already established your own mindfulness practice, through attending an 8-week programme, retreat or other setting, you would be most welcome to join this silent sitting practice group in King's Cross from March 2018.

Hosted by a fellow practitioner and member of the London Meditation Community, this space will allow like-minded individuals to meet on a regular, weekly basis to cultivate awareness in a warm, welcoming environment.

One-Day Mindfulness Retreats

One-day retreats in London (locations vary), spent mostly in silence, but with some structured time for reflection and mindful communication within the group.

Practices include sitting, lying, standing, walking, hatha yoga, eating, listening and talking. It is a chance to spend a whole day immersed in mindful living, with the support of a safe and open-minded group.

Introduction to Mindfulness Programme

A specially-tailored 4-week programme that gives participants an insight into the different forms of mindfulness meditation (as well as a refresher for those with previous practice), in the setting of a supportive and safe group.

The programme led by Kerry starts with more movement (hatha yoga, mindful walking) and gradually brings the body into stillness (sitting and lying practices). This format of gradually slowing down into stillness may help those with busy minds!

The programme led by Andy is an adaption of the stress-reduction programme and includes varying forms of practice and reflective discussion.

Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme

MBSR is an 8-week programme developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, that has been running with widespread success since 1979. This programme has been shown to improve stress resilience, overall wellbeing, focus and compassion.

The MBSR programme includes weekly 2-hour sessions, an all-day retreat, and daily guided home practices. It is a structured but flexible setting, allowing you to explore and understand yourself intimately, so that you can learn and practice healthier responses to life’s fluctuations.
